TRAVEL Mexico | Tulum beach - Playa Pescadores
Swim and snorkel tulum beach
Tulum Beach | Playa Pescadores
Cost of entry
Beach entry is FREE. Pay for parking. Or buy lunch and parking is free. We parked right at the beach near the hotel, Villa Pescadores.
There is security at the parking lot, so you do not have to worry about leaving valuables in the car.
HOW WE GOT THERE
We had a rental car. If you are staying at a resort, there are bus tours that will take you from the resort. However, they’re often over priced and personally, I like to be on my own schedule. If you’re a smaller group, a taxi is just as safe!
Go Snorkelling in Tulum
BE on the lookout
For these snorkelling boats…
After some negotiating, we paid 400 pesos to rent a snorkelling boat for 1 hour.
It was a short boat ride out to the reef. We saw sea rays, sea turtles and a variety of reef fish.
Tulum beach features:
- beachside restaurants and hotels
- snorkelling the Tulum reef
- white sand beaches
We ate tacos on the beach at Villa Pescadores, a beachside hotel. The rooms were cabana huts, it was pretty neat!
Beach must haves:
Water bottle
Hat
Sunglasses
Biodegradable sunscreen
Towel
Just up the road from playa pescadores beach…
Now that you have seen how we spent our morning at Tulum beach, head to the Tulum Ruins post to see how we spent our afternoon.
